no cash refund
I was soo shocked today to find out that Edgars does not give u ur money back should u decide u dont want what u bought and return it. I bought a gown for my mother and she did not like the colour so i returned it and to my suprise i was shown a banner that is in the middle of the store that says Edgars does not give u ur money back but rather give u a gift voucher. Why must i get a voucher when i bought with cash and retained the slip just incase. Why is Edgars now forcing me to spend that money only in Edcon and not giving me my money back? This is day light *******. Why dont the write this on the back of the slip in bold letters so that u know that Edgars operates like Chinese shops who dont give refunds. am still shocked even now.

We only refund or exchange provided that there is a proof of purchase, the item is unworn and still in its original packaging, and it is still within 30 days.
Please be advised the policy forbids a refund without the proof of purchase. However, we do not enforce gift cards on customers who request their cash back.
We must sincerely apologise for the overall experience. We assure you corrective measures will be taken to avoid the re-occurrence of this nature.
