No 6 month interest free account

I was invited via SMS to open an account at Edgars by 16 August with the promise of vouchers and other discounts. <br> The staff were very friendly and helpful.<br> I asked for the 6 month interest free account.<br> They had problems with the system, and after nearly an hour I did not receive a confirmation SMS.<br> I left, but got a call from the consultant later informing me that I had left my ID there.<br> I went back in the week to collect it, was told the account had been opened and I qualified for R7000 credit on a 12 month plan. When I pointed out that I specifically asked for a 6 month plan, I was told that I did not qualify, but she could not tell me on what grounds. I asked her to cancel the application. She contacted the call centre & handed the phone to me. When I asked about not getting a 6 month interest free account, I was told Edgars does not offer it anymore, and when I said there were huge ceiling high posters advertising 6 month interest free accounts, she told me it was supposed to be taken down.<br> My father was in the store the next week and heard the 6 month interest free account being advertised on the intercom!!! Why the blatant lies?
