New admin fees as *******

A recent letter was received from Edgars to inform me of an additional monthly charge to be levied against my account, i.e. a service/admin fee. I also currently get charged a R49.00 account protection plan fee, which upon trying to cancel on Sa****ay was informed that it is a compulsory charge - I currenlty have my own insurances that cover all my accounts in the event that I cannot pay it. So for the "privilege of having an Edgars account, it will now cost me R71.80 per month.

I read another article with regard to this charge over the weekend, and it was estimated that Edgars will make over R20 million per month in service fees alone. Edgars - what a *******. Absolutely shocking that you would pass more fees on to your loyal customers and this is only because changes to the new Credit Act dropped the interest rate that can be charged from 25.4% to 21%! Well done Edgars, you have lost a very loyal customer (over 20 years). I refuse to be ********** and hence I closed my account on Sa****ay!

Dear Customer
03 June 2016
