Monthly Service Fee WHAT FOR
<p>Used my Edgars Card to buy a book from CNA today and was asked to sign agreement of monthly service fee! When I objected the Cashier happily 'declined' on my behalf. The till slip claims I have been informed in writing of this new fee. .....which I haven't. If fee us introduced say goodbye to another Customer Edgars!!</p>
We must apologise for the delayed response. After carefully considering the cost to provide unsecured credit (e.g. the credit facility on your store card), together with the commitment of continued services to our valued customers, We have decided to amend our credit agreements by introducing a monthly service fee on your account. In terms of the NCA, a maximum service fee of R 60,00 (plus VAT) may be levied to your account monthly. That means over a period of 12 months the service fee that may be charged against your account is R720,00 (plus VAT). Your agreement will be amended to reflect this service fee. The good news is that we have decided to apply a discretionary discount and only charge you an amount of R22.80 (incl. VAT) per month which is lower than the allowed service fee charge. We do however reserve the right to review and amend this fee from time to time. The discretionary discount will be impacted by any dishonoured payments.
