misrepresentation on prices

We went to the Edgars Store at the Pavilion Westville and picked up a few items, two of those items were marked 50% off and had the red dot on the price tag.<br> We went to the cashier to pay and items were scanned through and the cashier called another lady for 'authorisation' we were then told 'can't give 50% off'.<br> Upon asking for the Manager we were told 'Jeremy' said 'can't give'. We saw that Jeremy walking out of the office and the Cashier went to call him and he gave us a 'I don't care attitude' my husband had to follow him behind while talking. He said he was informed by his Manager at head office not to give 50% discount, I then asked him if so then why as a Manager didn't not inform staff to remove the items from that section and he said he is doing it now. My husband then asked for the store manager, another lady came out and we did not have any joy with her because obviously that were presenting a 'united front' of fighting us.<br> The sarcasm attitude that we received from this Jeremy was totally embarrassing both my husband and I come from the Retail industry and we know a little bit about customer service and these type of things.<br> I am very perturbed.
