Lost my money to Edgar's The Glen Center

I went to buy a Davidoff cool waters bottle and found it on promotion at Edgar's The Glen. It came out with a shower gel and after shave...a gift set. The sales assistant is obviously the one who advised me to buy the gift set as it contained more for less. I then went for the gift set as it was amongst others that were on display and plastic sealed. The store assistant instead insisted that I wait for the one he had to fetch at their stockroom. He then went and came back with the one from the stockroom unsealed, with the trust I had for Edgar's as a brand, I never thought I had to question where the plastic seal was. As I walked out of the store after paying for the gift set, I decided to throw a couple of sprays on myself in excitement. To my surprise when I got home there was no scent, now I started asking myself questions because this wasn't the first time I bought the perfume then I remembered and concluded that it was not real cologne that gift set, most definitely a tester. I then phoned customer services to find out on which step to first take, the lady said something about a testing station in the store where they would have declared if whether or not it was real cologne. I went to the store on the 27th October and I was brutally welcomed by a lady her name is BLESSING together with Ellen who made me feel like I actually stole the gift set or am still about to pay for it when I bought it for R1265 cash.I explained to them what my problem was and they wouldn't stop insulting until I requested to speak to the store manager. A guy by the name SIBUSISO who was not even bothered by my problem suggested I leave the gift set with them so they can take it up with their supplier. So why would I buy something for cash only to leave it at the store for quality verification, why can't I get a plastic sealed gift set that I initially wanted to pay for? Are these assistants getting enough training on how to deal and attend to customer complaints or they just do as they please like they did to me because I'm a black man? Do I not have the right to get what I want in that store even if I paid for it in cash. Am I now supposed to stick with what doesn't satisfy my needs when I bought it from and accredited trader?
