I opened an Edgars account in November 2015, got no response or sms to notify if my account was approved or declined. Decided to call the call centre on the 20th January 2016 only for them to tell me my account was approved on the 30th December 2015. Anyway i went to pick up my card on the 20th December and enquired about the VIP club card for movies, i was told by the consultant that i can buy any amount of movie tickets and will receive 60% off only to find out when going to activate my membership at ster kinekor it is only 2 tickets. Edgars was running a promotion that if you open a new account and spend R1500 or more you will receive a pair of sneakers to the value of R700 free, i called and enquired by the call centre and client services that i received R1000 vouchers and could i still qualify for this promotion, to which they rep**** YES. Well guess what they are ***** and cheats i spent R2000 gave them my R500 off voucher and when asked about my free sneakers i was told i cannot use both, its either the voucher or the sneakers, why was this not said before and where is it reflecting on your terms and conditions, i want answers and i will advertise this on social media.
