Lethu (the store manager ) Very Rude and Arrogant

On the 20th November 2022 around 12 My husband and I made our way to Edgars Beacon Bay we were assisted by a very kind and helpful gentleman Abongile in the stone habour section . The jeans were labelled Buy 2 for R299 each buy one for R349 . I asked Abongile several times so if I buy 1 it is R349 while looking at the labelled price of R599 all these jeans were marked R599 we could not find the second one in size to take benefit on this special, so we settled for 1 at this R349.

I made Abongile aware of this R599 labelled on these jeans he apologized confirming that the norm in these errors is that it will be discounted at the till and went with us to the cashier to explain the situation We get to the till he explained to cashier and she understood Confirmed that no problem the manager will authorize . Abongile called Lethu ( apparently the store manager) to authorize the jeans where scanned and they scanned R399 Lethu (as per the name tag) rudely told us that, the price we see is what we going to pay we asked why is the pricing on display incorrect she said that's for them to fix , hence she is apologizing. I said to her in the whole conversation I am still waiting for the apology she rudely pulled out the jeans from the plastic bag and said “you can see the price and they scanned R399 and that is what they cost” with a very disrespectful look on her face.

I might be a drop in the customer pool but the rudeness , undermining me and insulting my intelligence this Lethu displayed was not necessary. I wanted my discount on those pants because that is what was on the display.

Edcon is a very reputable company which is every household highly upholded name , this type of attitude dents the company name.
