Let's charge our clients because we can

Today I received notification from edgars with regards to a new charge -account fee of R22.80 per month. This means I now have to pay to have a account and not a small fee but almost R270 a year just so I can shop there. Amazing what retailers will do to earn extra money. The call centre says ...accept this charge or close your account. I have been a loyal customer for 15 yrs and that means nothing. ..so a simple example. If I buy a shirt for R300 and plan to pay it over 6 months like I have always done this shirt will now cost almost R450. Nice profit margins. Other retailers charge less than R10 for the fee...that is acceptable. ..what you charge is plain ****************. Can't believe that edgars does not care about losing existing clients ..actually it makes sense you getting free money from this new fee...well done...u lost a client
