Late Payment Charges due to Edgars Incompetence

I received my statement dated 06/07/2016, via email, on 11/07/2016. It reflected I had a payment due of R254.00. I made the payment of R254.00 on 02/08/2016.

I then received my statement dated 06/08/2016, via email, on 16/08/2016. It did not reflect the payment I made on 02/08/2016, and therefore had a late charge assessment, which was charged on 06/08/2016, of R21.74.

I phoned the call centre on 16/08/2016 and spoke to Musi. He confirmed that my payment had been received. I advised that I needed the late charge assessment reversed and I needed to know what my correct payment due. He confirmed that he would send me an amended statement reflecting the payment, the interest reversal, and the correct amount due.

I then received an email from Musi with the same statement, i.e. it did not reflect the payment, interest reversal, or my amount due. I rep**** on 16/08/2016 and asked for the amended statement and confirmation of the amount due.

I received a response from Emanuel on 19/08/2016. He advised that the payment and interest reversal would only reflect on my next statement on 06/09/2016. He AGAIN did not tell me the correct amount due.

I then made a payment of R254.00 on 01/09/2016, as I had not been given the correct amount due, and had not received an amended statement, DESPITE me asking for these via the call centre and email.

I received an sms on 07/09/2016 asking me to pay my Edcon account urgently. I phoned the call centre and spoke to Ayanda. She confirmed that they had received both my payments, and reversed the late payment fee charged on 06/08/2016, but that my account was short paid in September and therefore there were late payment fees charged in September due. I explained that despite numerous attempts by me to find out the correct instalment Edgars had not given me the information and therefore I had paid the previous amounts, and I requested that the September late payment charges be reversed due to Edgars service failures, however she refused.

I am utterly shocked that Edgars is unwilling to reverse the late payment charges which were caused due to their own negligence in not reflecting my August payment, and then not responding to my numerous requests for them to give me the correct payment due. If this matter is not resolved I will be closing my account.
