Keeping my number hostage!
Good Afternoon Hello Peter

I have a serious complaint against MTN my husband took out a new cellphone contract for me but I want to keep my number as I will be going from Mtn to Vodacom all I want them to do is release my number so I can be able to do a sim swop without any hassles.

The contract was signed on the 05th of August and to date I still didn't manage to get my number sorted.

We have received your complaint. Your reference number is MTN REQ:*** and this is my 2nd Reference Number: ***3
Neither the above reference numbers is assisting in my issues I want my number released so that I can swop to Vodacom and also Mtn rates are very high and it doesn't have a safety feature to protect it's consumers so anyone can deduct money from your airtime balance. The free 173 number has an expiry time to it and does not allow you to speak to a consultant the phone just goes off so what's the point of calling that number.
I tried phoning the customer service centre *** and I cant get through to anyone on this number. Devon the cellphone rep at Edgars also tried assisting but we both are running into dead ends without any assistance.

Regards
Malika Sharpe Jaffer
