It Just Doesn't Get Better

his is my third review regarding the useless Edgars Accounts Department. I app**** for and obtained an account in May 2016. Apart from the first time, every subsequent attempt to use the account I was told it was blocked. Three times it was unblocked and on the fourth occasion, it was just summarily closed without any explanation (I still don't know what your issue was). On January 27, I app**** for a new account in store. I answered all their questions and provided all the required documentation. Before the account card was issued, I asked whether this was a 6-month account or a 12-month account. I was told it was a 12-month account. I said I don't want a 12-month account. As you can see the previous one was a 6-month account, please just change it. They said they can't. I would have to close the account and open a new one. How ridiculous is that? Surley you just chagne a field on the computer to reflect account type? I called the accounts manager to sort out this mess. He promised to get back to me by the following Wednesday, Feb 1. I never heard from him, neither did I hear from him the following week. On Saturday Feb 11, I went in and it was apparent they hadn't done anything. Various phone calls were made and I was told I would have to close the account and open a new one, BUT I might have to wait 6 months to re-apply. ***? Just get your **** together Edgars! There are other stores I can go and buy from and given your situation you can ill-afford to lose customers. I was told to take the card and maybe they could sort something out and change it to a 6-month account in two months. What? Why not just do it now? How hard can it be? Account # ********** ********** 69

Best regards,
I never suggested the NEW account was blocked. I said a 12-month account was issued when I wanted a 6-month account. The one attracts interest at 21%, the other doesn't. I don't need 12 months to pay off a clothing account. Why is the question not asked at the time of application?
