<p>I opened an edgars account about 6 months ago and on opening they gave me a whole lot of insurance which I was not aware of, it was amounting to almost 399 a month, I phoned a month back to query this matter and I still did not get a refund, it's time I get my lawyer involved as in terms of FAIS Act, I was not given proper info </p>

As per investigation please be advised our records clearly indicate you have personally signed for these financial products on the 20 December 2015 at Edgars Newton Junction.
In addition please note customers are afforded a 30 day window period in which to dispute any charges reflecting on his/her statements that they may not have been aware of, to which no such dispute or query was raised with Edcon up until September 2016, 9 months later.

When opening an account, all I was told to do is sign a whole lot of documents, I WAS NEVER TOLD ABOUT INSURANCE AND FURTHERMORE I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY AGREEMENTS WITH TERMS AND CONDITIONS ABOUT THOSE INSURANCE. IS THE CONSULTANT THAT OPENED MY ACCOUNT FAIS COMPLIANT TO SELL ME INSURANCE? BECAUSE HE NEVER MENTIONED TO ME HE IS WORKING UNDER SUPERVISION SO I REQUEST PROOF OF HIM BEEN FAIS COMPLIANT. THANK YOU
