Insurance

So I took out phone insurance for my phone which covered my phone for the value of R5000.00 which at the time was advised that we would get the money if anything should happen to the phone..

2 years later I put in a claim due to getting ******.. after my mom goes and put the claim through as it was on her account that the insurance was taken out on, my mom was advised that the claim will be done within working days okay we all good with that as we know it just can't happen right away...

The 7 working days goes pass we only go to the store two weeks later expecting that the money will help to repay her account and help out with other stuff, goes to the store with mom that's in a wheelchair as she's the only one that can deal with her account only to find out that the claim was never put through so as a good person that I am I don't go crazy because we are all human and make mistakes maybe something wasn't done right or something. All I asked was that if we can put the claim through again and can we get confirmation of it being put through as it is a bit of struggle to get mom to the store all the time, the person that assisted with putting the claim through the 2nd time advised me that the insurance is not a cash pay out that it actually pays off the account once again given different information about the cash payout insurance.. I asked the friendly staff member that put the claim through to send me an email once the claim has been put through, gave my email address and everything as she was phoning through to the insurance company to find out if there is any way to get information about the 1st claim and if we can't put a manager on this the call got dropped a few times before someone eventually took the call and got a manager onto this.

Up until today I have not received that email which isn't a big deal however the big problem that I have is that they turning around say that my phone was only covered for R3000.00 and I have to pay R500.00 for my 1st claim so what I don't understand is where the the other R2000.00 is that my phone was covered for? And to top it off its not a cash payout anymore or pays the account the only way to get that R3000.00 is to take a other phone in its place
