Increasing balance

I have an account at edgars for almost 15 years now but i stopped buying on credit from them for almost 5 years now what i have noticed though is that every mobth i make a payment the amount is always on tge same amount for the past 5 years . I went to the store to inquire as iwas not getting any statements only to find out that there three policies that they say i allegedly took out one of those was a parents policy of which my parents died 15 years ago i asked them to remove them as they said that was the reason why my balance was not dropping with every payment. This was last year in october and they promised that the problem will be fixed but i still noticed that no matter how much i pay the balance is not moving to that 9 000 tha iam supposedly owing. I would like to close this account but i dont have the 9 000 balance i just want someone to hepl me so that i can pay something that i see its decreasing
