Incorrect marketing in store

Today i went to Edgars parow as i received an sms with regards to the promotion .so i took a pair of NIkes for men and a pair of Adidas for woman ,fully priced on the boxes .both priced for R699.95.i got at the till who then Debra assisted me and then advised me that the pair of Adidas is not part of the promotion .i then explained to her that i got the shoe at the promotion section and there is more of the same shoes there and there was no sale sticker on. standing in the queue waiting to get to the till where there was only two cashiers taking most of my time waiting .two customers complaining about the same thing,they eventually left the shoes and walked out of the store .i asked to speak to the manager ,who up until now didn't come to the till after raising my concerns an announcement was made over the micro phone advising that the promotion does not include sale items.i get that as a customer but on my box was no sales sticker and if i knew would i have never taken the box.secondly why are you packing the sales items with the promotion stock.i really like and wanted the shoe so i had to give out and additional amount for the shoe.what will be done regarding this matter
