I have been a Edgars customer for many years and kept my account up to date and always paid more than the instalment. This month the payment slipped my mind and on the day I remembered, I got a sms saying I should pay ASAP to keep a good credit rating..which was fine until I got my statement via sms, I don't usually follow the link to view the statement online but luckily I did this time...I find a late payment charge plus a VIP MEMEBERSHIP FEE!!!! i have not been receiving my statement in the post for months due to the post office strike, it was nice to be able to receive it via sms but what I found when viewing online is frankly rude and greedy. Firstly I am annoyed that I am a loyal customer and forget in 1 month to make a payment, which I paid again more than the instalment but get a late payment charge! ON TOP OF THIS who game them the permission to charge this VIP MEMBERSHIP FEE????? and how long has this been going on? I want all those Membership fees credited back or I will be reporting them to the Ombudsman!
