Income Protecting with Edgars is a ****

My husband was retrenched in 2020.

We submitted his retrenchment documents on 30 May 2021, after which we received an email to state that the documents have been received and we can expect an answer.

After various phonecalls from their account department, we resubmitted the documents on 11 August 2021.

We have now received a letter stating that he will be handed over. We will proceed by lodging a case by the Ombudsman as we do have proof that the documents was submitted and a receipt confirmation from their insurer, yet no response from them. Their accounts department phones and then hangs up when you answer.

Their "loss of income protection" is a money making **** and they overcharge on "recovery" charges to make up income.
