I made a payment but edgars put my account in arrears saying I did not made a payment.

I have made a payment in Edgars on the 31st of August. R853, now is 12th of Sep they send me a statement to say my account is in arrears while I have made a payment. Even after I send them a proof of payment they are not doing anything about it.
