I bought a core i3 acer laptop on the 08/08/2022 knowing that the warranty is 24 months now when I bring my laptop to game store Secunda mpumalanga, only to be told that it's a 12 months warranty

I bought a core i3 acer laptop on the 08/08/2022 knowing that the warranty is 24 months now when I bring my laptop to game store Secunda mpumalanga, only to be told that it's a 12 months warranty. I kept my sleep successfully knowing my laptops warranty is 24 months. Game management says they can't help because the warranty has expired, now it's my word against theirs. HelloPeter please help as you have successfully done so in the past.
