Humiliated by Security and Branch Manager

Walked into Edgars Northgate on 27 January. Walked in casually then I went to the perfume counter & ended up buying a bottle of perfume. On my way out the security guard rudely asked to see my receipt which I produced. She then asked me to search my bag which I let her though this is a clear violation of my privacy, & she found nothing, then demanded to body search me & she asked me to go to a fitting room. I asked her why & if she had seen or suspected anything & she said no but that I go quietly to the fitting room. The security beepers didn't go off at all. I was humiliated, being treated like a petty *****. I asked to see the manager, who said it was standard procedure. In the fitting room, a random teller, not even the security guard searched my bag opening my ID book as if she was going to find something ****** in there. I had to lift up my clothes,how humiliating!! I felt so embarrassed and victimized. What is the function of CCTVs or Beepers & security guards if a random teller is going to search me? I will NEVER shop in Edgars again. MAKE USE OF THE SECURITY TOOLS AT YOUR DISPOSAL!!! Terrible customer service. Treated like a ******** for supporting Edgars Stores
