how does the edgers recruitment process go

I app**** for festive employment at Edgars. .signed contract but was never called for training. .A couple of weeks later I started receiving sms' s about store schedule and team dress code which by my observation means I was in their system BT still never called for training. ..A friend saw my name on the schedule list n she therefore asked why was my name there but I was not employed and she was told to not ask about things that do not concern her..which is strange cause that should have prompted them to call this person who appears on the schedule but is not turning up for work....Very disappointed
