Hard up for customers

I have closed my account with Edgar's vis email about 3 years ago and to date I still receive monthly statements saying I owe them money after requesting the account be closed. I have also been sending them emails and still this gets ignored. Are they just to hard up for customers or to illiterate to understand the english language. To date I still receive statements which probably cost them more in time and effort in sending this out. They are as thick as walls.
