Gift card expired but no date/detail on receipt or card

Edgars is quite happy to collect money from the clients without providing the goods. Received a gift card for Valentines day. Went to redeem it yesterday and was informed thay it has expired. There is NO expiry date printed on the card or the receipt. According to one employee they remain valid for two years, the other one said for three years. Not even their own employees know what the details are regarding expiry dates for gift cards but they expect the client to know?!?! Not happy and will not be supporting Edgars again. I think it is unfair to accept money form a client WITHOUT providing the full details of the product purchased and then refuse to redeem it. So you will gladly take my money but not provide the goods. Its ****************. I will also be informing my friends and family NOT to purchase a gift card but rather to transfer money directly. That way you can use it when you want, where you want. (Won't be at Edgars btw.)
