I am extremely disgusted at the lack of integrity that the Edgars brand holds. I was offered an Account Protection insurance scheme over the phone which I clearly said \no\" to. I declined the offer. However the advisor went ahead and placed the insurance on my account,because yesterday I received policy documentation,for a policy I did not agree to ! I am a new Edgars account holder,and I refuse to make my first instalment until the issue has been resolved. Or I will cancel my account at no extra cost by contacting the Ombudsman. "

It is important for you customers to have this service linked on your account as it will pay the outstanding balance on your Edgars Account in the event of retrenchment from permanent employment, permanent disability or death. If there is no outstanding balance on the account you will not be billed for service. Your Insurance cover is dependent on how you conduct your account payments. It is a requirement to have a Credit Life Insurance Policy in order to operate an Edgars credit agreement (this product is conditioned).
Waiting periods:
*No waiting period applies to death.
*A three month waiting period applies to retrenchment and permanent disablement.
