***** from my account

The Edcon pinless payment process introduced in all edgars stores made me a victim of *****.
I own a pin and chip card and because Edgars stores have introduced a pinless payment which overides any pin entry request, I had ridiculous amountsof money processed out of my account by Edgars stores. Im not and will never be an edgars client. Weird that they would not suspect that kind of transaction on the same day within the same hour. This happened with me having my card in my possession. The store manager Kingsley was rude and literary told the edgars Risk manager that he had better things to do than look into ***** from his store.
Edgars stores failed to advise how this took place in their stores and have a don't care attitude even though all evidence was provided to them.
I have never shopped in edgars stores and this just shows how dangerous their payment system process is. Trying to be technically trendy but not in the least bit ready to manage the security risk they have unleashed of ***** in this country. Edgars

Hello MrsKitoloh,

Thank you for raising your apprehensions with us. Kindly note Edcon does not use the 'Tap and go system'. Customer still enter their pin codes. There is only a signature pad used n order for the system to recognise the signature. Please be advised you may visit the police station and make an affidavit and the bank should liaise with Edgars for further investigations. We apologise for the overall experience.

The reference number for your query is: ***/GO
