***** by Edgars and poor service

May 2018 a friend of mine bought me a gift card from Edgars. In December I went to Edgars mall of Africa to buy Georgio Amani Si perfume,they were running a special of 20%,the guy who was helping me said I wont be able to get the discount and use my gift card ,I said it's okay I will use the gift card later then.

Come September 2019 I went to mall of Africa to make a purchase and I wanted to use the gift card, i was told it was empty and they cant see for which transaction they used it on..

I am still waiting for feedback from them.They took my R500 and i feel ****** by Edgars. Can somebody just explain what happened to my money on the gift card
