Thursday the 11th June I went to Edgars Wonderboom to buy when I was approached by Koketso who said I could qualify for a 1000 discount voucher but because I already had an account I was automatically disqualified, but she said she could quickly check what other voucher I could qualify for if I followed her of which I did. When we arrived at the till she swiped my card and started to print papers then told me to sign, I declined and told her I won't sign for something I didn't know. She then said its okay but went and brought copies to me and when I read them I saw they were of policies. I told her I wasn't interested but she said it was just an appointment and an agent will call me first, that I wouldn't pay as I wasnt joining for anything. She said I was behaving like an old woman for asking questions. Saturday I called Edcon and found a very heplful agent called Linda who in fact told me that Koketso had gone ahead and registerd financial services for me and that he will reverse everything as I was liable for a fee. I don't appretiate what Koketso did, I don't think Edcon approves of such ******** practices from agents and it was unfair of her to do so.
