Faulty/ Defective Products
How is it possible to that a product bought from your stores does not function correct, and it is not yet 2 month old. I bought a Microsoft Lumia 535 from Edgars the Glen on the 21st August 2015. However for the past three weeks I have been having endless problems with the phone.

On most occasions the phone works fine, but when I really need to have it working the phone drops calls, and my sms's does not come through, sometime the whole unit just freezes and then I am unable to unlock the screen, and I have to reboot/ restart the whole unit to gain access to it again. When I ask the consultant from Edgars Kenilworth Cape Town, how long it will take for repairs, they advise me anything between 6-8 weeks. What must I do in the time my phone goes in for repairs, as this is my only point of contact, not only for personal but for work.

I really think that this is unacceptable and that I need to know where to from here. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for raising your concerns with us. Please note our refund and exchange policy is part of the service we render to our customers. Please be advised as per the communication received at the store, the cell phone can be returned within 7 days if it has an 'out of box' failure. And after assessment then it will be refunded or exchanged. However, after 7 days the cell phone needs to be booked for repairs with the service provider. We apologise for the overall experience, but that is the terms and conditions for cell phones.
