Expired promotion advertised on new statement
I received my updated statement from Edgars today (an account that I have a credit on), at the bottom of the statement OVERDUE FOR AN EYE TEST? SWIPE YOUR EDGARS THANK U CARD AT SPEC-SAVERS & GET R1500 OFF YOUR SCRIPTED FRAMES OR LENS ENHANCEMENTS. As I am due for an eye test, I think wow and phone Specsavers and ask for more info on the promotion to be told sorry that was our winter promotion I can take it up with Edgars. This promotion has been advertised both on my September and October statement so how is it that it was a "winter" promotion.
I think after having an account with Edgars ever since they offered accounts which must be about 45 years.
We have escalated the complaint to the marketing team management to address with regards to the promotion query and they advised that the promotion was for a certain period of time and after the promotion period it indeed lapsed.
