Erroneous refunding/accounts. Poor Service Delivery. Dismal.

Technically the Edgars group should not even have a star rating. There are three points I need to comment on: Firstly, the Edgars Accounts Division is a disaster. We were receiving multiple calls on a daily basis from this department as we were supposedly not paying the account. My mother has been an Edgars customer for over 20 years and has never missed a payment. When I sent an e-mail, I finally received a very poorly constructed response; what I could make out from the individual's response, is that everything was paid up and that there was a system issue. Surely you would train your staff to respond professionally and within an acceptable time-frame? Perhaps have some template responses available for those who do not have as much experience. Secondly: I placed an order on the 3rd of May - thinking that I would be supporting a company that was already struggling. I thought "Surely if they have made products available for sale online, they will be able to deliver". Six weeks down the road, and I receive one out of my seven items. On the invoice, I notice that they had drawn a line through all the items that were not delivered, and a stamp indicated that I would be refunded. Okay fine. So refund me then. But once again, Edgars could not do something as simple as refund me the correct amount of money. Rather, they refunded me for only one of the items (a great total of R349.95 reflected on my credit card). Where is the other R1 299,75‬? You have literally taken my money and not given me any service in return. Wouldn't this constitute *****ing? I am still waiting for my money and will be taking the next step in this process if I am not refunded in the next week. Lastly, taking into consideration that there is a distinct possibility that the Edcon group will be closing their doors, what is going to happen with those who had taken funeral policies with Hollard? Is that money also just going to disappear? I am extremely disappointed that a large company like Edcon could not be flexible and adapt to circumstances. Your accounts systems require automation and updating. Many of your staff require further training and guidance. Your warehousing and distribution section is dysfunctional. Absolutely dismal.
