I made an EFT payment of an amount of R4000 on the 06/03/2019 to my Edgars/Jet account. The payment has not not been allocated.
I called the Edcon call center and was told to call back on Friday as it takes 48 hours for the payment to reflect. i was also given an email address to send to the accounts department where they can allocate my payment and I did that and was told that my payment would be allocated accordingly. Saturday I received an email from one one their departments informing me that they have forwarded my email to Accounts department, the same department where I sent my proof of payment to and they would take 48 hours to resolve my issue.
R4000 is a huge amount for it to be laying around somewhere within those departments. I thought I would keep my account paid up and just have it for emergencies but this situation is forcing me to just close it. If I make such a huge payment and it takes them forever to allocate it, what is the point of Edcon giving guidelines on how and where to make EFT payments if they will never allocate the money to the accounts.
These are the 3 email addresses I sent my proof of payment to : Email: ********** Email: ********** **********
These are the instructions I followed when making the payment: By making an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment via your online banking platform
Name: Edgars Bank: First National Bank Account Number: 5 ********** 440 Branch Number: 251105 Account Type: Transmission Account Branch Name: Pritchard Street Reference Number: Your 19 digit account number.
I made an immediate transaction from my bank account meaning the amount from not take more that 2 days to even reflect.
