Edgars Unethicle Billing

I received my Edgars November account with the following additional cost under the following explanations: Interest R7.73 Collection letter R23.00 Collection SMS R3.22 This amounts to an additional R33.95 on an R469.95 account. Called Edgars accounts department and spoke to Nombulelo she informed me that Edgars has cancelled their 6 month interest free accounts and therefore interest is being charged to the account. I responded that the CEO had made a media statement that Edgars has decide to revert back to the interest free options as their clients have objected. Her response was that her office did not receive this instruction. No explanation was given for the billing of R26.22 for collection fees despite my account not being in arrears. Clearly Edgars is unable to continue with ethical business practices and their clients are paying the price.
