edgars uncontactable

i've had an account with edgars many years ago that was supposed to be prescribed according to the NCA however it still shows on my credit report. ive contacted edcon requesting a statement showing when my last payment was made to prove that the debt should be prescribed; their response was i should contact Transaction Capital Recoveries which i do only to be told the account is no longer with them but with the nimble group. so i contact the nimble group only to be told the account is no longer with them either and they dont know where edcon moved it to. also edcon customer care number says the number does not exist. Could somebody from edcon please contact me to get me the statement im requesting, emailing is not helping as you wait days for a response that is irrelevant.
