Edgars tricking customers into signing up for value added services they don't want or need
PLEASE BE AWARE!
If you still enter Edgars stores, looking for anything, you might be approached by a neatly dressed person, wielding a tablet and trying to sell you life cover and some other value added services.
I was in November and I told the person (man, in my case) while visiting the Centurion Mall branch, that I am in no way interested in any of the products that he was trying to sell. He stated that he accepted my stance but that he needed me to sign on his tablet that he spoke to me and that I didn't want any of his products. I did this with a bit of scepticism.
While under the impression that the matter was done and that I made myself very clear, I now notice that I'm being billed for the products (on a monthly basis) that I clearly stated I didn't need or want.
Edgars (and by extension RCS, perhaps) is tricking people into signing on for products they don't need or want. PLEASE BE VIGILANT WHEN YOU VISIT EDGARS... DIRECTLY WALK AWAY FROM ANYONE WANTING TO TALK ABOUT ANY VALUE ADDED PRODUCTS!
I will be taking this up with the relevant people at Edgars/RCS. So unnecessary...
