EDGARS SUCKS when it comes to insured cellphones!!!!!

I'm a 77 year-old Pensioner who started with Edgars OVER 30 years ago and today, they are treating me as though I was NEVER their LOYAL, full-installment paying customer. My story is this: In January 2021, I was making an enquiry into my Edgars account (***), when I was informed that I had insured three (3) cellphones which were listed as follows:

1. Sony at R53.00

2. Mobicel at R42.00 and;

3. Hauwei at R94.00

As I recall however, the insurance on the Mobicel was cancelled.

The claim I made on the Sony was rejected after I was informed that my claim was “outside of the claiming period”. To my understanding and knowledge, this meant I was now only left with one (1) insured device being the Huawei cellphone.

Now, the funny thing here is that I noticed that my Edgars account’s owing amount was in fact escalating during September 2021 (currently standing at R3000.00 and upon making an enquiry, I was informed that I must contact Finrite to cancel the account by cancelling the insurance. I have since done this and I eventually got SOME assistance from a consultant at Finrite (did not take name down, but it should be available as all calls are recorded), who fully explained that I was actually still paying for two (2) phones, the Huawaei and a Samsung J7 phone. This is very tricky because the Samsung J7 in fact was REPLACED by the Huwaei in 2017, after I had made a claim and it was authorized.

My question here is this: How come I am still being charged insurance on the Samsung J7?

I am a pensioner and this is not right that I’m being charged monies for instruments which are no longer in my possession.

I also strongly believe that I am entitled to reimbur*****t of all premiums paid from 2017 to date because I should NOT have still been paying for the Samsung J7 cellphone.

So please, kindly investigate and revert to me within 7 working days BEFORE I take the matter further.
