Edgars sucks

I am so furious I can barely think straight

I had a Edgars acc for as long as I can remember. Never skipped a payment and in general supported the store quite often.

I am employed in Mozambique so here is where the fun starts...

For the last couple of years I never bought anything on my account, payed cash for all items. So on the 10th of Jan I came back to work and was supposed to fly back en of March but Carona diced otherwise!

So every now and then I get a message from Edgars that I need to pay my outstanding balance, so I would then ask the misses to please go the CNA close to home and see what they on about cause we dont use the account. Then she would let me know that there was an amount of R80 outstanding. She would pay it and then 2 months later I get those messages that threatens me again. Then again would the misses go and pay another 80 odd bucks.

Until I had enough. I tried closing this account since August this year over the phone and by sending mails but to no avail.

So I finally got to go home end of October and the first thing I did was to go to my local store to close my acc. What a hassle, almost an hour on the phone, paying another R300 of fees that accumulated and the following week another trip to the store just to find out that still isn’t closed!

I am in the process of purchasing property, well in the beginning of the process anyway. I contacted my personal banker to find out why I cant get a pre-approval from the banking app.... He said he would assist and see whats the issue. So I send him all my personal info as requested. Couple of minutes ago I get word that I can not get pre-approval because EDGARS gave me up to the credit bureau for late payments!!!!!!!! On account fees!!!!!!!! Then they would send me a mail to say that they are sorry to loose a valued customer.... Valued?!!!! I am actually screaming the words i’m typing!!!!! Well thanks a ****ing lot you bunch of retards for messing up my future plans ! I will never ever EVER in my entire life spend another cent at your stores!!! NEVER!!!!

So its been more then a month that I went into the store to close my account...... ITS STILL NOT CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!! Got a mail after requesting a closing letter, stating that it would take 30 DAYS?!!! REALLY?!!!!!!!

Close my account!!!!!!!!
