Edgar's stores *************ness

I got dismissed where I was working in April 2016, I owed Edgar's +-R1300 at that time. I later received a call from Edgar's, explained what my situation was. I was told that my account will be settled since I had been paying for an accounts protection plan for as long as I had the account. I was happy people 😁 thanking my lucky stars. Five years later I get calls from debt collectors in connection with this debt, I now have to pay +-R1900 since my account had been in arrears since 2016. Im really annoyed by this because it clearly says someone had not done their job or Edgar's is just trying their luck with me.
