Edgars service frustrating and putrid

Edgars has always been useless and time consuming even now that they belong to RCS. I was retrenched in June last year and proceeded to let Edgar's know which they then provided me with contact for Hollard as I have insurance on my account. I decided then that I would like to keep the account. I then purchased a cellphone on the account, the cashier did have a problem with my account at this stage but a block was removed after I mentioned that I would like to keep the account open and they allowed me to purchase the cellphone on my account. On another day I decided to make a cash purchase but wanted to use my thank you points. I was then told that my account was blocked. I told them to call like the previous cashier did. The cashier then told me that I needed to provide 3 months bank statement to confirm my employment should I wish to keep the account open. I explained that I am still unemployed and cannot do this. This was not mentioned to me when I said I want to keep the account open when purchasing the cellphone. I then proceeded to keep paying the monthly installments as me purchasing the cellphone affected the insurance policies. I have been emailing edgars and they responded that they will look into it but have not come back to me since and have since ignored my emails. At this point I need to close my account and have phoned Edgar's this morning to request what my final installment would be. The lady I spoke to gave me an amount and said that I need to make this payment today in order not to get charged a service fee. I must the call them back and they will close the account. I proceeded to pay the amount mentioned and then called them back. The consultant firstly had his music blaring in the background which I had to ask him to turn down as I could not hear him properly. I then told him I have made the payment and want to close my account. He then said that Edgar's insurance has a block on my account and that I needed to call them to unblock my account. At this point I am very tired and frustrated by Edgar's but I make the call which sends me to voice recording stating that their offices are closed. This means that I now have to call them on Monday which also means I will now have to pay the monthly service fee. I would also like to mention that the calls are not free so I have to load airtime each time which is costing me quite a bit. Edgars service is getting from bad to worse!!!! No wonder they cannot keep their heads above water. Not sure that RCS can even save them. God have mercy on the employees.
