How is it possible that in OCTOBER 2021 I am still receiving Accounts & phonecalls & threats of been handed over??? demanding payments for an account that was supposedly closed in JUNE 2021? Its totally mind boggling the level of incompetance. I arrest my case.

The word escalated has always intrigued me.
I apologise for the sceptiscism but my interpretation of escalate in this case just means you passing the problem off onto someone else that doesnt give a rats ass & to cover up your own incompetance.
Time will tell if the Ringmaster of this Circus delegates to his or her Clowns.
