Edgars processed ********** activity on closed account

I am writing this review on behalf of my mom, SD Lubbe.

My mom closed her Edgars account about 5 years ago. Recently, she wanted to re-mortage her house but upon doing her finance application, the financiers discovered that she has been black listed. This came as a shock to my mom as she did not even know that she was black listed at all.

It turns out that Edgars black listed her and it was for an outstanding amount of R160. Edgars allowed someone to **********ly buy R160 worth of MTN airtime on her closed account. How is this possible? First of all, her account was closed 5 years ago. Secondly, how does Edgars allow anyone to purchase anything on someone else's account, and a closed account for that matter????

We have called Edgars about this and they are of no use at all. They don't know how this has happened and they take no responsibility for this??? We have even asked them to give us the lawyers contact information whom they handed the account over to, but the lawyers don't exist and their contact info does not work?????? Edgars need to take responsibility for this as ***** has been committed on my mom's name and now she is black listed as a result of them.

I need Edgars to get into contact with my mom and sort out this mess they created and clear my mother's name.
