Edgars or Highway ******s

my wife paid her account up to date in August, as she didn`t want to use the account again, my son received an email today in my wife`s name claiming the account is in arrears by R348.18. The account as not been used since it was cleared so how did it get in arrears? so the wife like the good person she is goes straight to Edgars at Heidelberg Mall to clear the account, she gives the cashier at 13.17 pm R400.00 and tells her to clear the account, the cashier then informs my wife the account is still in arrears by R28.82. At 13.18 pm my wife gives the cashier a further R29.00, the cashier hands my wife the second receipt in a matter of 3 minutes, now the account is R57.82 in arrears, from my son receiving an email today demanding R348.18 to my wife making payment today of R429.00 and then being told your still in arrears by R57.82. Have we reached hyper inflation rates as per our northern neighbours or have Edgars been given carte blanche to rob their customers at will
