EDGARS - Misleading DENTAL PLAN

Good day, A few months ago while shopping at the Eastgate branch I was approached by a gentlemen who sold me a dental plan for R99 a month. I don't usually take up these offers but some of the statements he made swayed my decision; - He said that for just R99 a month, Edgars members can get R15000 a year dental cover to use for all those much needed dental work that we usually don't see to , because medical aid funds run out so quickly - He said this was a benefit available to Edgars member like myself who have been loyal for 20+ years - I questioned him a lot to make sure, but he insisted... R99 pm to get access to R15000 that you and your family can use for all your dental requirements I haven't been able to get a hold of him since... nor has he contacted me like he swore to. It took me 3 months to eventually get the details of this policy from Hollard/Denis Insurance... 3 months! I was frustrated and upset to find out that the policy only pays out for eg. R200 per year for cleaning (cleaning can cost anything between R650 to R1000) The only time the policy will pay out anything CLOSE to R15000 is when you have a 'fractured jaw and require surgery'

In my opinion this is the very essence of a ****... except it was carried out by an actual Edgars employee. I haven't been able to get much response from the complaints department... hence I am exposing this on this forum to make customers ware... and hopefully get a proper response
