Edgars Menlyn Mall -Poor controls in store for Customers

On 21st of March 2025,I went to Edgars in Menlyn Mall,I was pushing a baby stroller and it had my mother's hand bag inside as she was carrying the baby,we did our shopping and paid when we went out of the store,as we were putting the baby in the stroller I realised that the bag was not there anymore I went back to the store and and looked for it , then I alerted the manager what happened then they took my details and said they will call me when they find something and asked me what was in the bag,it was around 3 pm ,then on my way home around 4 pm I received a call from the manager alerting me that they had found a hand bag in the store I should come and identify it,I went back and it was Indeed my hand bag and they took a cell phone, purse and 2000 cash,from the 2700 that was inside, they left the house keys and jewellery that I had bought, then when I got home I started to analyse this and felt that I needed Closure,I went back to the store the next morning of 22nd March,and asked to see the Manager then we went to the office and I asked to see the footage from then he told me that the footage doesn't cover the sections where I was,and I can't be present when they open the footage I will need a court order or case number, then I asked that he calls the store manager to our suprise when that lady came she agreed to every request we made..and she took us to the CCTV room with the 1st manager and the CCTV operator,we looked at the footage and they did say again that the CCTV doesn't cover the ladies section where I was and the kiddies section where the bag was found,I feel that it was an inside job the person who stole my bag is an Edgars employee and knew that it wouldn't appear on the footage,The manager said that they have been complaining to Top management to upgrade the CCTV as some are not even working,and they are old it has been used since Edgars was under Edcon,and they said that it's expensive and that the store doesn't need cameras,a random ******** wouldn't have put the bag back in the store,he would have sold the bag outside,and such a big store doesn't have CCTV every section? What if a person was killed in the store, so it means would not have anything to give the police anything? I really feel ****** as a Customer, it's just a mystery how my hand bag disappeared in store,and the person even left some money in the bag ,it means they were in a hurry to return the bag,a real ******** would leave the mall with the bag, when I called the fone the person answered then hung -up..if there's a way to escalate the matter please help me..I really feel ******
