Edgars Kolonnade Mall Pretoria. Poor quality clothes.

My name is Masingita Chavalala. I purchased a winter jacket at Edgars on the 24 March 2023 for R699, I only wore it less than 5 times if I can remember. On the 6th of August I noticed that it was tearing apart at the bag, I immediately took it back to Edgars store at Kollanade mall in Pretoria and I was assisted by a manager by the name of Nthabiseng who then told me about the return policy of 3 months. She said I am on my 4th month and unfortunately there is nothing she can assist me with. I then informed her that I will escalate the matter with head-office. I made a call about 3 weeks ago to lounge a complain of the incident explained and they said they will investigate and get back to me.

After a week of waiting, I called again for follow and they rep**** by saying that the store manager also said there is nothing they can do in this regard, I then asked that this matter be escalated further because I bought this Jacket for R700. I cannot just let my money go down the drain.

I was promised that the jacket will be requested back for quality check as I left it at the store and I will be informed in due time. Later to be told that their suppliers are oversees and unfortunately I cannot be assisted. This is poor customer service, selling poor quality clothing. I have not envision that a jacket I bought for R700 will only be worn less than 5 times. This is totally unacceptable! This is ripping people off their hard earned money selling them low quality items knowing very well they will not last.

I mean how many times does one wear a jacket to notice the defeats in 3 months. I have many other jackets that I change with, so a jacket is not something you would have noticed a defeat in 3 months. Even in winter it is not cold everyday so you do not wear the item often.

I have not even washed the jacket and already I can't use it anymore.
