Edgars hires people who swear at customers!

On the 2nd of July I opened an Edgars account at Kerk Street Johannesburg CBD. The next day 3rd July I decided to go shopping. A guy named Sylvester (Description: Facial and neck tattoos, gold teeth on top and bottom row, and gold rings on most of his fingers) approached me and told me that they are doing a free check up on client accounts. While he was checking for me I noticed there were services (funeral policy, accident cover, hospital cover, and family cover) that were active which I told the guy who opened for me to not activate. I ask Sylvester to cancel them. He shows me the screen which shows 'cancelled' next to those services

A few days later I receive smss telling me those same services have now been activated. This morning (9 July) I go back to Sylvester and show him the smss. He first denies helping me cancel the services. He proceeds to the next counter to make a call. While doing so he had to walk behind me when he grabbed me by the waist. After giving him and unimpressed look he told me he's waking me up!!

After a brief call to customer service, he shows me the same screen again which has the @cancelled@ on each policy. I noticed that my balance was R679 but I remember only buying for R530. I ask Sylvester to please explain how it jumped to that. He tells me I'm crying for a mere R80 and would I like him to give me that money. Then after a while if not getting an answer from him and arguing and him telling me that he does not have to assist me because he was not the one who opened the account for me and I just signed things I don't know, he blatantly tells me I am ****ING HIM OFF and that he will throw my card at me if I do not listen to him!!

I was reduced to tears, paid the balance and left the store.

So, is this how your staff is trained to treat customers/clients. I am still upset. Even after one of the ladies who witnessed the altercation came to ask me if I'm ok I was still in tears. Something needs to be done about Sylvester. He does not know how to treat customers
