Edgars false advertising

Edgars stores advertised on the entrance as well as throughout their stores spend for R650 receive free handbag T&C excludes cellphone and cosmetics! My purchases was over R900 and when enquired on the free handbag was told sale items do not qualify.. I pointed out the fact that no where is it advertised excluding sale items and was rudely told by Edgar's store staff there is nothing they can do about, calling the customer care line was pointless and no help as I was assured feedback within 48hrs... Thank God I didn't hold my breath
