Edgars Don't give a dam !

I Opened an account with Edgards in Queenstown in 1972 or 73 . Can't remember as it was a long time ago. Over the decades i bought most of my 3 children's , my husband's, my clothing and housewares and cosmetics etc. I don't use my account much these days but i do still buy . HOWEVER I have closed my account - AFTERALL THSES YEARS _ due the policy that Edgards has, where I must pay R28.00 per month just to have an account with a R0 balance !!! lately, most times when I have bought I have paid the full amount within a month. I would not mind paying if i used the account. But most of the time it is on R0. Oh and my last balance was R13 66 CREDIT . and I was asked "Do you really want us to refund you this small amount" The attitude was that's our policy pay it or close the account. I am sure the MD of Edgards at the time when i opened this account would be turning in his grave.( I think Stanley Mathews was his name) But the NEW MD obviously could not give a dam. Shame on you and your new policies.
