Edgars charges almost 300% increase on installment between 2 different months.

In the space of 2 months, my overdue balance has gone from R97 to R800+ I lodged a complaint premised on items billed on my statement that I had not requested nor signed for. This was in January 2020. This is the fourth time I have made the same request over the past 3 years. I have requested statements to be sent to me via email for that period which I am still awaiting for. Consultants send you from pillar to post. To date, I have not received an explanation as to where the cellular charges came from. I heard a number of callers on the 702 show who also had the same issue. I then closely looked at my statements over the last 6 months. I am now very concerned, as I indicated to a consultant at the Northgate branch today, as well as to the consultant who is to date supposed to get back to me. WHERE DOES THE AMOUNT I AM CHARGED FOR COME FROM??? I made a payment of R1000 on the 28th of January 2020 - this after being informed I had an outstanding amount of R1970 when to be paid immediately. I was contacted via telephone at my work place and cellular phone by 9 consultants in 1 day to IMMEDIATELY pay this amount. I requested to know where the amount came from as my opening balance was 2065 and installment was 212. No one got back to me instead they harrassed my colleagues and myself. Now again, for my April statement I suddenly have an outstanding - overdue balance of R897 to be paid IMMEDIATELY. Between December and now I would have paid Edgars close to R2400 on an account which when I opened had a credit limit of R2000 and I have not made any purchases since 2018 because I have been informed there is no buying capacity because the balance is too high. Please can someone who speaks clear enough Explain this ****************. Can my account statements - and subsequent calls - which consultants are happy to say are recorded, be pulled up from the opening of my account in 2012. I would like to have a trail of what and how Edgars charges for their services. I would then like clarification on the amounts I have had to pay between 2018 and now Further explanations of WHAT IS THE CLOSING BALANCE,? WHERE DOES THE CAPACITY TO PURCHASE COME FROM and HOW DOES THE INSTALLMENT FLUCTUATE TO THE DEGREE OF 300% between months. My email address for purposes of sending the trail of information - which as per POPI Act I am allowed to access - the Consumer Protection Act also supports this is ***

Thank you for your response. It seems again my query has not been understood and this stems from lack of explanation as to my initial query of the R97 which was for cellphone services that were not contracted by me but still charged by edcon hence I said I want statements from 2018 until now to establish when these charges appeared on my account. The reason for this is because interest is charged on the full outstanding amount and therefore accumulates towards increasing my overall balance. If the first query can be addressed I'm sure the subsequent query and displeasure with the service will be much clearer. As I explained when I called back the office on the 010900 number, I would simply like to know where it was contracted that I wanted cellphone services - R78 over months plus the interest charged (which the consultant I spoke to when I called back said ITS JUST R17 - of which it is not, R17 accumulates easily to higher amounts and that's how people get ****med.

Further that charge of R97 plus the query on the cellphone charges were not addressed with me, instead the charge disappeared off my account - I was told today that a decision was made and no refund would be made as the customer requested the service - hence I WANT TO KNOW WHEN AND WHERE I agreed to such a service - it is very simple really.
1. Communicate
2. Provide only agreed to services
3. When A customer logs a query at their own expense - seeing as Edcon charges the customer when they try to get an outstanding amount - the least they can do is consider the charges that I accumulate as the customer when I get in touch with you to address an error on your part and the company doesn't provide me the courtesy of even saying the query "has been resolved"
Had they contacted me I would have told them I am not satisfied with the resolve - you didn't address the issue at hand and I had not requested a refund therefore telling me a refund is not being provided only further infuriates me as the customer.
