Edgars Ballito Hell Experience

Trying to close my Edgars account has been a nightmare. I first went to Centurion Mall and was told that I need the Edgars account card to pay and close the account. I then heard on Radio that this should not be difficult to do. Last week I was in Durban so I ventured out to Edgars at Ballito Mall. I was never ready for that experience The guy put me on a call to the call center??♀️ I spoke to Nobuhle Malinga and she asked me questions (felt like an interrogation) how much was my buying limit, when last I paid the account, how much I Paid ? I told her that I opened this account when I was at tertiary more than 20 years ago. Told her that some information will have changed so I can’t confirm. She was plain rude and later gave me a settlement amount. I had to pay R153 to settle and close the account. Needless to say I got 3 or more people calling me almost daily chasing for the R153 - what a waste of resources After the call I was then asked for my Edgars card so I can pay , I gave the lady the only Edgars card I had , which I had used at the time of buying and I was told it’s not the right card. At this point I wanted to run away so not to cause harm to anyone, this is like 40 minutes later. I was then told to go and pay at a retail shop (pick n pay, Cherkers or game) because unless I had the correct Edgars card I can’t pay in store . I went and paid at pick n pay You will not believe , the very next day someone called me to request that I make payment on my account, I explained what had happened the day before and explained that I paid and would like to close my account, she told me that the R153 was not the right settlement amount and that I must go back to Edgars to close the account and settle any outstanding amounts. I Will not be going into an Edgars store , I have had a lot of trauma with the shop Please close my account
